For horseback trail rides near San Antonio, Texas, you cannot beat Cross-G-Ranch Trail Rides. No rides are too small. We gear our schedule around you. Trail rides are our passion, and you will be able to tell that from the start. We especially encourage families to ride together, building memories for years to come. It will truly be a ride of a lifetime.
During any season (winter, spring, summer, and fall), we are on the trail. Cross-G-Ranch is owned by Ron and Nancy Griffith of Bandera, Texas. Ron and Nancy have a trail riding business that specializes in giving you an individual and personal trail riding experience in the Texas Hill Country.
You will be riding our quality and experienced horses. They are well-trained, have good manners, and are experienced in negotiating the trails we ride on. Even for the most inexperienced rider, our horses will take you out and bring you back safely. Our trail rides are based upon your level of riding skill, whether you are a beginner or expert rider. Below are some of the things you can expect when you ride with us:

You will be riding our quality and experienced horses. They are well-trained, have good manners, and are experienced in negotiating the trails we ride on. Even for the most inexperienced rider, our horses will take you out and bring you back safely. Our trail rides are based upon your level of riding skill, whether you are a beginner or expert rider. Below are some of the things you can expect when you ride with us:
- You don’t have to be an expert to ride.
- Our professional horse trainer and riding instructor, Ron Griffith, will guide you through any situation on the trail.
- We can accommodate up to 10 riders, ages 12 and up (no exceptions) with a weight restriction of 225 pounds.
- Riding options are 1, 1½, 2, 2½ and 3 hour sessions (see “OPTIONS” below for prices). Our rides include:
- Flat land to hills.
- Creek crossings.
- 2 1/2 and 3 hour Challenging rides for the experienced rider.
- We provide saddle bags, with bottled water, for your personal belongings, e.g., cell phones, cameras, etc.
- The western riding adventure will be yours to remember for years to come.
- Private rides are now available for parties interested.

Cross G Ranch now offers private rides at the Summer Rate of $80.00 an hour for each rider. If you have a group that would like to ride together privately, we can accommodate you.
CHALLENGING RIDE
A 2 1/2 and 3 hour rides over challenging terrain for the riders looking for an out of the ordinary ride. Not for beginner riders.
WHERE WE RIDE
Our trail rides are on a private ranch 6 miles outside Bandera, Tx.,on FM 1077 between Bandera and the state natural area. Once you book the ride and we receive your rider information we will send you the address to the ranch to put in your GPS. Along the trail, we may encounter wildlife, such as deer, wild turkey, rabbits, squirrels, armadillos, herons, and many other wild critters, as well as cattle. You will see panoramic views of the Texas Hill Country and ride over various terrain by going up and down hills, crossing creeks, and riding on flatland and through wooded areas and ravines.

Please come dressed for the ride. You will encounter brush along the trail, so please do not wear shorts. Long pants or jeans are advised. Also, wear closed-toe shoes. Tennis shoes or boots are fine. If possible, a hat and sunglasses are advisable. We want to make sure your ride is the best it can be, and your safety is our prime concern.
TRAIL RIDE SCHEDULE
We do not have set times for trail rides so that we can better serve you and your schedule. Our times fluctuate according to daylight hours Monday through Saturday.
Cross G Trail Ride times are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
We require a reservation 24 hours in advance; however, if time permits, we may be able to accommodate same day rides. Call Ron Griffith at 830-six88-two717 or e-mail him at crossgranchtrailrides@gmail.com for rates and to make arrangements.
Payment can be made by cash or credit card. We do not require a deposit.
Please be at least 15 minutes early. If you are going to be late, please call as soon as you know.

We can’t allow alcohol beverages or smoking on our rides due to the nature of the country side and the danger associated with fires, etc. We want our rides to be memorable and safety is our main objective.
PARTICIPANT RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Regulation requires that you complete a Participant Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement.
